We offer full services from designing campaigns, to producing, or building engines to get projects turned around. Our production-first headspace brings us together and drives us forward; no middle management, no paper pushers.

When we say we tell the stories of the changers and makers, this includes ourselves as well. 4th District independently produces, supports, and stands behind our growing set of original films which have been celebrated across the region and across the world.

  • Lighter Than Air is 4th District’s current poster feature-length documentary. The film explores world-class high altitude paragliders Antoine Girard and Veso Ovcharov on their latest daring year-long ambition to fly over K2, the 2nd tallest mountain in the world. Along the way, the greatest tragedy reminds them the risk of their sport, and the meaning of paragliding.

  • Eyval is a portrait of Ali Saboor, the warm and friendly head chef of Eyval, a Persian-American restaurant in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. After growing up in Iran during the Iranian Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War, and subsequently moving to America with his mother, he now runs the #26 restaurant in New York City, according to the New York Times.

  • Song of Earthroot is a feature-length documentary about Kinh T. Vu, a gay Vietnamese-American adoptee & music education professor who was flown out of Saigon at the end of the American War in Vietnam. We follow him as he writes his first song on his most recent trip back to Vietnam and finishes putting the pieces together for what it means to be at home in body and voice.

  • The mediums of filmmaking, music, and dance are often practiced similar to calligraphy - a single stroke in a moment that reflects steady daily practice and a creative practice of observation and reflection. Drawing inspiration from a love for Taipei’s slow lifestyle and its resulting vibrant art scene, this experimental dance film is entirely and playfully improvised, including the camerawork, music, and movement.
